We are deeply saddened to hear that visual artist and photographer Michael Wolf passed away earlier this week. Michael was a close friend of Unseen’s and a genuine supporter of what Unseen stands for, and we are so grateful to have worked with him over the years. We would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
Michael was born in Munich and returned to Germany after his childhood in the United States and Canada. The artist’s career is rooted in photojournalism and is both influenced by and reflective upon the many years he spent living and working in Hong Kong. Michael’s socially engaged work explores life in an ever-changing metropolis and has been, and continues to be, featured in exhibitions and collections all around the world.
Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
