Paolo Ventura

The Netherlands, Amsterdam Flatland Gallery

Paolo Ventura (IT, 1968) is an established Italian photographer, renowned for his series of reflective, melancholic and partly humouristic narrative works anchored either in the war period or in a timeless setting. His technique is manifold, and includes painting, cutting and pasting, photography and drawing. Ventura also constructs houses / maquettes; together placed they form a city. These sculptures will be placed for the first time at Unseen Amsterdam and form the sculptural base for the horizontally individual frames on the wall.
